Management fee
A management fee is what an operator charges to run a property, usually as a percentage of booking revenue, sometimes as a fixed monthly amount. What the fee includes — and what is billed separately — varies widely between operators.
How Management fee is calculated
Management fee = Booking revenue × Fee %
Compare operators on the base the percentage applies to: gross booking value, revenue net of platform commission, or revenue net of commission and cleaning.
Why Management fee matters for your revenue
Headline percentages are not comparable until you know the base they apply to and which costs are excluded. A lower percentage with several extras billed on top can cost more than a higher all-inclusive fee.
